What data you get

The lookup combines a range check (public, private, reserved, loopback or multicast) with an RDAP query for ASN, organization and network range when the IP is public.

Exact geolocation (country, region, city) is not available today: only the country is shown when RDAP provides it, and the rest of the fields show "Not available" instead of simulating data that does not exist.

When to use it

Useful for checking whether an IP you see in a log, an email, or a suspicious connection belongs to a residential provider, a cloud platform, a datacenter, or a commercial VPN.
